CHALLENGE #1: Circular & Sharing Economies
How might we use and consume goods & services in order to maximize their use?
  • How can we share access instead of individually owning things?
  • What do we have as excess/extra (maybe waste?) that can be used by another?
  • How can we get the most value possible from resources?
Course: Entrepreneurship & Marketing 10 (Teacher: Trish Schubert)

Entrepreneurship & Marketing 10 is an introductory business course. These include business communications, economics, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship & Marketing 10 introduces students to the world of business within the local and global community and the various opportunities within it. While taking this course, students will develop computer skills and other economic survival skills necessary in today’s fast changing society.

Water Management in Chilliwack: Is Our Future All Wet?

CHALLENGE:
When it comes to water access and sustainability, what are some of Chilliwack's biggest challenges? How can we inform the public about the importance of local aquifer management?

Chilliwack is surrounded by freshwater, in a myriad of rivers and aquifers, all replenished by the infamous West Coast rainfall. One may imagine there can be no shortage of existing users and significant projected future growth. Is that true? Students in BIO420 designed and undertook semi-structured interviews with the water management team at the City of Chilliwack to investigate aspects of sustainability and access to this critically important resource.
