2026 OCP Housekeeping Amendments
In December 2025, Council adopted an updated Official Community Plan (OCP), Abbotsforward 2050.
In the months following adoption, staff identified a small number of errors, omissions, and opportunities to improve plan clarity.
The changes contemplated through this housekeeping update are administrative in nature and do not change the foundational urban structure or growth policies of the OCP.
Proposed refinements are intended to improve clarity and intent, falling into the following categories:
- Land Use Designation Corrections & Clarifications
- Mapping Corrections
- Land Use Regulation Clarifications
- Neighbourhood Plan Clarifications
We invite you to review the proposed OCP Housekeeping Amendments and provide your feedback below (closes April 20, 2026), which will be collected and used to identify key community concerns, and where appropriate, inform revisions to the proposal before it proceeds to Council for consideration.
A Public Information Meeting will be held for the proposed amendments, with staff available to answer questions and collect feedback:
