We’re nearing the end of the Official Community Plan (OCP) Update process!

To accommodate growth in the coming decades, Abbotsford is updating its OCP and using community input to help shape the future of the city.

The OCP is the City’s key planning tool and was last updated in 2016. The Abbotsforward 2050 OCP update process is building on what's working well and looking at ways to better address the challenges and opportunities of today and tomorrow.

Draft OCP Changes Survey: Abbotsfwd 2050 (May - June 2025)

Share your thoughts on the draft OFficial Community Plan (OCP) CHANGES!
We are nearing the end of a two-year process to update Abbotsford’s Official Community Plan and renew guidance for city growth over the next 25 years. Draft plan changes highlighted in this survey build on community input, addressing topics such as land use, housing, neighbourhood growth, and employment lands.
We are now in the final round of community engagement for the project, and thank you for providing feedback that will help refine the OCP changes before the updated Plan is presented for Council consideration in fall 2025.
