The City of Abbotsford is developing new standards for signage and park infrastructure across the city's parks and trail system. The goal is to make parks easier to navigate, safer, more accessible and welcoming for everyone.
Currently, parks signage and infrastructure, such as benches, picnic tables, washrooms, kiosks, and waste receptacles, vary widely in design, quality, and placement. This project will establish clear and consistent guidelines for how signage and park infrastructure are designed, function, and are maintained. The new standards will reflect Abbotsford's growing and diverse community, align with the Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan, and follow best practices in public space design. They will also support greater efficiency and long-term maintenance across the park system.
We want to hear from you!
Your input will help guide how signage and park amenities are designed and used, ensuring they meet the needs of residents and visitors now and into the future. Take the survey between February 4 - March 1 and share your ideas or ask a question.
