The City of Abbotsford is planning a new neighbourhood park in the Townline neighbourhood to serve the needs of the local area. The future park space consists of about 1.1 ha of relatively flat, undeveloped open space, and is located in the middle of a multi-family neighbourhood and next to Townline Hill Park.
Townline Hill Park is accessed separately from Blueridge Drive to the south and as a Community Park, it includes a baseball diamond, Fieldhouse buildings, a playground, and trails that in part connect to the future park site and beyond.
The physical characteristics of the future park site and the existing local context provide a great opportunity to program the new park in ways that take advantage of the viewscapes while complementing the surrounding park and trail infrastructure.
