Consultation has concluded

All around Abbotsford, people are supporting one another and showing how they care. #abbycares is about getting through this time together. You can show how you care here, and share it with others.

The City will be sharing content here to help families stay active and engaged in their community, and to keep spirits high while we "Stay Together by Staying Apart" and inspire others.

Ideas for keeping spirits high:

  • Download our coloring sheet and share your window art at #abbycares.
  • Join in on the 7 PM SALUTE to our healthcare and frontline workers. Get out your cowbells, pots and pans and your best cheering voice. Share the video to #abbycares.
  • Decorate your sidewalks and driveways with sidewalk chalk. Use inspiring messages, fun drawings and take a photo and share it with #abbycares.
  • Check out our Community Events Calendar for some great live virtual entertainment from around the local community at abbotsford.ca.
  • Checkout the Parks, Recreation & Culture Facebook page for activities to keep you active and little ones entertained.

We are all in this together!

Abby cares, but Langley cleaned up Aberdeen

by colinc, about 4 years ago

It is interesting that as you cross the dividing line (Station Rd) between Aldergrove and Abbotsford on the west side that all of a sudden you observe the proliferation of trash on the Abbotsford side. So much so that even Langley has noticed the problem. Why is Abbotsford struggling with the most basics of hygiene? On Earth Day, Langley Environmental Partners picked up 180lbs of Trash in 2 blocks (in 2 hours) in Aberdeen. Does Abby care or is it just waiting for people from other communities to clean it up?

Eugene Reimer Middle School "We Are Canada" Project

by Mrs. Nerlap Kaur Sidhu, over 4 years ago

A community is a group of people living in the same place and having particular characteristics in common. As students our goal for the Eugene Reimer Middle School "We Are Canada" project was to have students across Canada recognize a bit of themselves in each other and in our community members. We are proud to share that this project connects and strengthens relationships between school, home and community. We wrote "I am" statements by reflecting on and asking ourselves the most difficult questions. Who Am I? and What do I stand for? This reflective process was authentic, meaningful and helped...
