The purpose of the City Wastewater Master Plan is to identify the infrastructure upgrades needed to meet the expected demands for a population of 250,000 over the next 25 years. The Plan will also identify the impacts of future commercial, industrial and institutional growth, and develop short-, medium- and long-term capital plans, including projects costs, timing and upgrade priorities.
What’s Happening Next:
Throughout 2026 and 2027, the City will be gathering feedback to inform updates to its existing Master Plans. This work will ensure that long-term planning aligns with the priorities outlined in the updated OCP, Council’s Strategic Plan and community input, creating a cohesive and consistent roadmap for Abbotsford toward 2050.
