What professionals are you consulting to ensure that's actually the case? Surveys like this are limited in usability as the questions are very narrow/lack true input. It would be great to see something different/innovative (look to other Cities for ideas). Thank you. on Facebook Share Where is the proposed design? Bkuyer asked 10 days agoHello, thank you for the questions and input.
The concept design presentation boards are available in the Documents section on the
Ridgeview Park Splash Pad and Playground Let's Talk page. This section is located at the bottom right of the page.
We have also updated the survey questions to include a direct link to the boards.
We have retained a professional design consultant to provide design services for the project and the design of the splash pad and the new playground will incorporate accessible features for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Will the play park be gone? When you put in the splash park? Can’t we keep both?
Samantha asked 9 months agoHi Samantha,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. No, the playground will not be removed. The existing playground is aging, so as part of this project, we are planning to build a new playground alongside the addition of a splash pad at Ridgeview Park.
The new splash pad and playground will be designed together to create a fun, interactive, and inclusive play environment for park users. Every effort will be made to keep the park open during the construction phase to minimize disruptions.
We appreciate your input and look forward to enhancing the park for the community!

Can you plant more shade giving trees?
Samantha asked 9 months agoHi Samantha,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns and ideas about our new splash pad and playground at Ridgeview Park.
Yes, we will incorporate planting design as part of the landscape design for the new splash pad and playground. Our goal is to strategically place trees throughout the park to provide more shade for park users, especially around the splash pad and playground to offer relief during hot summer days.
We appreciate your input and will keep shade considerations in mind as we finalize the design.
Thank you for your contribution!
