Planning for Resilience: Round 2 Survey

We’ve been working on the City’s Climate Resilience Strategy (CRS) and a City-wide hazard, risk and vulnerability assessment (HRVA). Please review our results so far and share your feedback. Your input will help us make sure we’re on the right track as we draft the final CRS. If you fill out the survey, you can be entered to win a $100 grocery store gift card or emergency kit.

Part 1: Hazards and Risks

The City of Abbotsford is conducting a hazard, risk and vulnerability assessment (HRVA) on nine (9) climate hazards and seven (7) non-climate hazards. The HRVA is a data-driven process guided by a provincial standard and adapted to fit Abbotsford’s local context.

Abbotsford's HRVA identifies flooding, wildfire, extreme heat, and multi-hazards (e.g. when various hazards create cascading impacts) as the most extreme risks for our community.

More information on HRVA process and results can be found here.
